As the Facilities Manager, you will have the responsibility for a Manufacturing, Distribution, and R&D site in Irvine, Ca, and two smaller remote sites. Overall responsibilities include maintenance (preventive and corrective), workplace and associated services, utility operations, and monitoring of facilities projects at the site level. Management of all local service providers/onsite vendor headcount. Direct supervision of internal maintenance supervisors and workplace service managers. Preparation of Management of operating budgets, track costs and scheduling for building operations and capital improvement projects. Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to cleaning, operations and preventive maintenance procedures, investigation reports, discrepancy response, corrective actions. 

 

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Assure safe, timely and high-quality execution with proper documentation of all maintenance activities by regular employees and/or contracted maintenance staff.
  • Recommend vendor and contract service provider selection, developing the means and measure for selection.
  • Analyze quotes to present options and recommendations.
  • Lead and manage insurance audits and recommend improvements to meet the requirements.
  • Oversee and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) used for scheduling and documenting all maintenance activities for facilities, utilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Act as conduit of information for upper management and communicates with all employees in emergency situations, power, or other building service disruptions.
  • Foster innovation and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish metrics for maintenance activities and ensure uninterrupted operations.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or management discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience as a manager for facilities maintenance, operations, and/or calibrations (highly preferred in a regulated manufacturing environment)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in maintenance operations with a proven performance record.
  • Demonstrated success in leadership and organizational management, particularly in a technical and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in industry standards and practices for facilities maintenance, operations, security and janitorial.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulations and codes, e.g. cGMP/FDA; OSHA; EPA, ISO, etc.
  • Ability to review and critique engineering documents.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $133,900 - $184,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
