IT Lead, Planning Systems

As part of the Global IT Team, this position will work with key business users to support the S&OP Process with emphasis on Demand & Supply Planning using SAP and Kinaxis Rapid Response. The candidate must have strong business knowledge, the ability to be hands-on, and a desire to “dive into the details.”   

Note: This position will either be at our campus in Hercules, CA or a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

• This role will focus on the technology supporting the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process. This process includes customer demand forecasting, distribution requirements planning, inventory management, S&OP meeting analytics, capacity evaluations, and more. 
• Serve as a lead solution architect of technology supporting our Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and Sales and Operations Planning organizations. Technology in scope includes Kinaxis RapidResponse, and SAP, as well as integrations with a Data Lake, and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).
• Deliver technology solutions referenced above, with expected activities ranging from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training, data migration, process documentation, and more. Delivery can include configuring or developing Kinaxis RapidResponse worksheets/workbooks, alerts, metrics, scorecards, dashboards, as well as SAP configuration, or customization.
• Analyze current systems, facilitate workshops, map end to end business processes and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all stakeholders include business leaders, Bio-Rad IT, External IT consulting partners, end users, technical developers, and others. Able to deliver presentations and influence audiences.

• Understand how these processes provide Bio-Rad competitive advantages or operational efficiencies is essential.
• Five (5) or more years direct experience in supporting Demand and Supply Planning functions.
• Relevant Life Science Industry experience, including SOX and GxP is highly desired.
• Sound business and IT acumen.
• Ability to think strategically and converting strategy into tactical execution, is a plus.
• Ability to establish critical relationships throughout the company and to build trust and credibility throughout the organization.
• Ability to effectively, succinctly, and confidently communicate team decisions to all levels of the organization with the appropriate level of detail (verbal, written, and presentation).
• A “Project Management” mindset for working in a high paced environment.
• Previous experience on project teams with a proven ability to work under time constraints while meeting critical milestones.
• Ability to travel on average 30%, including international, with the ability to travel extensively as project needs require.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate closely with others to accomplish business objectives.
• Proven ability to work in ambiguous environments.
• Proven leader that builds and fosters open working team environments.
• Experience with international business processes and relationships a strong plus.
• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent. APICS, CPIM or CSCP and or an MBA a strong plus.
• Experience working with advanced planning tools such as Kinaxis, SAP IBP, O9, or other equivalent products.
