Bio-Rad is seeking a top performer to join our Digital Biology Group.  In this exciting, fast-paced and rapidly-growing business, we have an opportunity for someone to manage and grow our diagnostic menu partnership program for our flagship Droplet Digital PCR product line.

 

The marketing manager will play a key role in managing and optimizing the value of Bio-Rad's diagnostic partnerships.  S/he will serve as the go-to person between Bio-Rad and our partner(s).  Working in close collaboration with business development and commercial teams, this person will establish and support internal processes to coordinate key activities and their timing, define roles and responsibilities with our partners and with our teams, track progress of timelines, and mitigate risks to enable us to reach the full potential of the partnership.  This role will also manage the IVD platforms and universal consumables that are key to the partnership portfolio.

 

The marketing manager will frequently engage with various teams and stakeholders across the organization. This person will maintain adherence of contractual commitments by working with manufacturing, sales, business development and legal teams. S/he will also engage with partners to understand and evaluate their product needs and translate those needs into requirements in partnership with the product marketing team. This person will report into the Director of Product Marketing within the Digital Biology Group.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and ensure smooth operation of partnership ground rules, such as quarterly business reviews, co-marketing activities, and other interactions.
  • Manage contractual obligations and, when necessary, engage stakeholders to find a path forward to address issues or incorporate opportunities.
  • Track progress, including coordinating definition and reporting of KPIs.
  • Identify important value drivers and key risks, and lead the effort to anticipate and mitigate risks and accelerate value creation.
  • Facilitate complex and nuanced discussions of hot topic issues with partners to map path forward when necessary.
  • Participate in relevant meetings with partners and internal functional teams to ensure progress and alignment and to “connect the dots” across efforts.
  • Help to manage and grow our reputation with partners; increase alignment, mutual understanding and trust between teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Master’s degree, PhD and/or MBA or equivalent degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of relevant alliance management and minimum 2 years in diagnostic markets.
  • Strong communication skills with high emotional intelligence / empathy, including ability to influence colleagues, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus among stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and disciplines.
  • Data-driven decision maker who is able to identify, prioritize, and resolve key issues and risks.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment with competing deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as global conditions permit.
