North America Regional Sales Manager Food Science Division

Translate Global Strategy and Objectives into Regional tactical plans that meet/exceed yearly goals by leveraging existing resources. The incumbent will need to effectively relate to and influence his/her peers and subordinates as leader of the Regional team. Position can be based anywhere in North America close to a airport. 

Responsibilities

• Allocate Regional sales plans and objectives among individual representatives.
• Manage and control expenses to budget.
• Ensure proper levels of account coverage by hiring, training, and retaining the best talent available. 
• Work closely with tactical marketing teams to provide important product and market feedback for tactics, tools and training. 
• Provide frequent coaching and feedback to sales representatives, reinforcing established training programs while exhibiting best-practice behavior. 
• Routinely accompany representatives on sales calls to key accounts, managing relationships with key clients while assisting representatives in closing sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of sales management experience. 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in microbiology or food safety. MBA preferred. 
• 8+ years sales experience within the Food Safety market. 
• Knowledge of and/or experience with PCR and automation systems as well as the food safety market, key customers and competitors. 
• Selling, leadership, analytical, communication (written and verbal), organizational and presentation skills.
