Bio-Rad is seeking an experienced individual to join our innovative digital PCR team. The role reports to the Group Lead and is responsible for ensuring the successful commercialization of assigned products by designing, executing, and analyzing experimental efforts. The successful candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in-depth knowledge of molecular biology principles and practice, and extensive PCR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and monitors timely execution and completion of various experiments related to one or more research projects.
  • Conducts work of high quality, exhibiting good experimental design, data summary and interpretation.
  • Prepares reports on completed work and presents that work to the team lead.
  • Responsible for learning to draft SOPs, user manuals, technical notes and other related technical documents with assistance from senior scientists, Group Leads, Software, Marketing and Engineering.
  • Responsible for completing projects according to specifications and within set deadlines under guidance from Senior Scientists and Group Leads.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or similar fields.
  • 3+ years of hands on molecular biology experience.
  • Experience with a broad variety of molecular biology and analytical techniques including, qPCR, RT-qPCR, ddPCR (desired), and/or nucleic acid isolation and manipulation.
  • Experience in microfluidics and microanalytical systems is a plus.
  • Must be open to traveling in the future (20%)
