Sr. Manager (Core Diagnostics Finance & Strategic Business)

Bio-Rad is looking for a Sr. Manager (Core Diagnostics Finance & Strategic Business).  The Sr. Manager (Core Diagnostics Finance & Strategic Business), will support and partner with the Senior executives of the Core Diagnostics to support profitability, growth and drive improvements through data analytics, financial analysis and other value driven reporting for a Division with annual revenue exceeding >US $ 800M. In addition,  will support achieving the targets set for the annual business plan, provide quarterly rolling forecast updates, monthly financial close, and other special analysis to support continuous process improvements.

You must be engaged, flexible, and have the ability to build relationships with internal/external customers and finance/non-finance business partners. You are expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of your customers to effectively support their business needs and provide accurate forecasts.

You must be highly motivated, curious, and technically proficient with a strong sense of ownership and business ethics to deliver quality work on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with a strong analytical background and strict attention to detail. You must be a proactive leader exhibiting strong influencing capabilities with business partners and a willingness to maintain open and transparent communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Core Diagnostics Division annual financial business plan, monthly close, and quarterly rolling forecast.
• Partner with the Senior Leadership of the Core Diagnostic Division on tracking KPI's, provide business advice and recommendation to support value creation.
• Manage CDx Financial Statement with excellent understanding on revenue dynamics, operational footprint, resources requirements and opportunities, support operating expenses for efficiencies, recommendations and tracking, advise how to improve net working capital and cash generation.
• Develop sound value driven analytics to boost value creation for  stakeholders, through data analytics and other tools.
• Lead a small team of financial professionals, in alignment with company philosophy and work environment.
• Proactively work with other groups to perform critical assessments in multiple cost reduction projects,  acquisitions, cost per product, product portfolio decisions, return on the investment analysis, and other important decisions and projects impacting the group.
• Persuade and influence the organization for a timely execution.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting, Managerial Economics or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• +10 years of progressive finance experience with increasing responsibilities, supervising global groups and having P&L responsibility, and management experience in an accounting or finance role, either in public accounting or corporate finance.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, inspire, lead and develop staff.
• Detail oriented with attention to process and documentation in addition to accuracy.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, Sumifs, Sumproduct).
• Strong written communication skills to clearly convey monthly reporting to stakeholders.
• Ability to translate GAAP terms to non-accounting partners.
• Ability to manage deadlines from multiple project streams.
• Hands-on; must have a willingness to become involved in the details of the operations to ensure accurate information is provided to the business partners. 
• Experience with Enterprise level Accounting and Planning software desired; Essbase and SAP preferred
• PowerBI or related experience preferred.
