The Sr. Project Manager - LSG Technical Training Program is dedicated to partnering with all departments to develop, maintain and improve a best-in-class Technical Training Program within the Life Science Group. The vision for the Technical Training Program is to go beyond compliance by empowering our associates with the knowledge they need to accelerate the delivery of LSG's most promising growth opportunities. The successful candidate should be a highly motivated, proactive and results-driven leader with excellent organizational skills and a passion for continuously improving training standards. The candidate will demonstrate superior knowledge of all project-based work and ongoing operations that impact the Discovery, Development, Introduction, Growth, Maturity, Decline and Sunset phases of products within the Life Sciences portfolio.

 

How You'll Make An Impact: 

  • Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with various departments.
  • Facilitate individual and team skills gap analyses to assist in the development of departmental training plans
  • Utilize e-learning platforms to document individual/team technical training plans and to measure performance
  • Work with internal/external subject matter experts to develop and harmonize tiered technical training courses for various levels (beginners, intermediate and advanced)
  • Assess training materials prepared by instructors for clarity, information, targeted audience, etc.
  • Establish and coordinate the departmental/business unit technical training calendar
  • Ensure all new/recent hires undergo basic/beginner technical training
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback from trainees, departmental managers and instructors to continuously improve technical training offerings
  • Develops effective training program reporting for senior management.
  • Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information using simple language
  • Stay on trend with new methods, tools, and techniques to apply and achieve more effective learning and propose innovative modes of delivery for users
  • Creating and executing project plans/timelines
  • Managing critical path items and successfully removing roadblocks
  • Leveraging well developed interpersonal skills to build & maintain positive working relationships with functional groups throughout the organization
  • Identifying interdependencies and looking for strategic ways to facilitate project success
  • Uses strong project and organizational knowledge, leadership and active facilitation to enable effective team meetings and high performance teams
  • Other duties, as assigned

What You Bring:

  • Must demonstrate active leadership
  • BS degree in science, engineering or business; Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years in a project leadership role in a highly technical field
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry such as invitro-diagnostics, medical devices or pharmaceuticals; IVD CE and FDA PMA/510(k) is a strong plus
  • Willingness and ability to occasionally travel (5-10%; domestic and international)
  • Must be a proactive leader with ownership of project deliverables
  • Must have a strong balance between science and business acumen with a deep desire to deliver business value to the organization
  • Able to articulate extremely complex information throughout the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal skills, analytical/problem solving skills, negotiation skills, cross-functional team leadership skills and goal setting skills required.
  • Effective presentation and meeting skills within all levels of the organization and with a wide variety of external/internal colleagues and collaborators.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office 365, Smartsheet, MS Project, MS Visio and cloud based platforms/databases)
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively in leading project teams through obstacles and/or finding the best path forward

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $127,000 to $174,700 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
