This position will assist the Regional FP&A Manager to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis across Business Groups and Divisions within the Asia Pacific region. The position plays a critical role in driving financial visibility, supporting decision-making, and enhancing planning and reporting processes through data-driven insights and strong business partnering.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Financial Data Mining and Reporting
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to support monthly OPEX and P&L performance reviews
- Monthly reporting deliverables, including:
o Mid-month forecasts and end-month sales bulletins
o Sales flash commentary
- Prepare and consolidate financial reports, including:
o Detailed Gross Profit (GP) and P&L across countries and profit centers
o Executive dashboards and OPEX breakdowns by function
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and version control across reporting processes
- Load forecast and budget data into enterprise performance systems (e.g., EPB)
Financial Review and Analysis
- Perform deep dive variance analysis across key financial metrics
o OPEX vs. Plan, Forecast and Prior Year
o Gross Profit drivers including inventory-related costs, logistics, and technical servicing
o Reagent rental amortization and cost allocations
- Provide clear, data-driven explanations of variances and business drivers
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Commercial, G&A, Logistics, Service) to investigate performance gaps
- Support preparation of regional and global management review materials (e.g., GCO and Corporate business reviews)
- Deliver insights to improve cost control, profitability, and operational efficiency
Financial Forecasting & Budgeting
- Develop and maintain financial models, planning templates, and forecasting tools for OPEX and cost components
- Coordinate and consolidate sales forecasts and cost projections from business units
- Track and manage updates for:
o Direct costs and standard cost changes
o Headcount (HC) requests and personnel expenses
- Perform bridging analysis across key financial metrics:
o Sales, Standard Cost of Sales (COS), Other Cost of Goods Sold (OCGS), and OPEX
Ad-hoc tasks and Projects
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting and planning processes through automation and simplification initiatives
- Enhance data workflows and reporting efficiency using financial tools and systems
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as required by management
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred
Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant FP&A experience in a multinational environment
- Strong hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., EPB, SAP) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Effective communication and stakeholder management in a matrix organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Proactive, independent, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
