Seeing my mother and father again after seven years in the U.S. was incredibly special. This visit coincided with my mother’s birthday. Ever since I was born, she made sure we always celebrated our birthdays together and never forgot to buy flowers. She is a strong, kind, and wise woman. This time, I was finally able to return that love and celebrate her birthday in my own home.

My son loves animals and nature. Because of that, we usually travel to places where we can see many animals in their natural habitat and capture these moments. One great experience was in Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul, near the Pantanal in Brazil. It was an amazing vacation. Pedro is the best travel partner I could ask for.

My heart is so full of pride for my mum, Cheryl, on receiving an Appreciation Award from the Patrician Brothers’. For 22 years, she has given so much of herself to her school community with quiet strength, care, and dedication, always putting others before herself. When your child secretly borrows your phone to prepare a ‘big surprise’ for Mum. This time, a series of ‘before and after’ photos: one where my daughter was beaming with pride… and the next showing a brand-new gap where her tooth used to be!
A simple, funny moment, but it completely brightened up my day. These little surprises remind me just how full motherhood is of unexpected joys, laughter and memories we didn’t even realize we needed.
