IT Technical Program Manager

Technical Program Managers lead delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives across various projects, technical domains, and business stakeholders within a division. They collaborate with senior IT and business leaders to set initiative goals, define business value, and establish success metrics. TPMs manage initiatives from intake through implementation, stabilization, and closure — coordinating work execution, developing project plans with project managers and Product Owners, and overseeing risk and dependency management. TPMs establish governance cadence, implement communication standards, coordinate business readiness and adoption activities, and partner with Architecture/Engineering to shape technology roadmaps within the division. They are accountable for initiative delivery, and for tracking and reporting progress toward business outcomes, not for business or product strategy.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end — from intake through design, build, test, deployment, stabilization, and closure — with accountability for initiative outcomes, not just plans.
- Orchestrate execution across Product Owners, development teams, Business SMEs, Architecture/Engineering, OCM, Release/Cutover, and Support teams through governance cadence, communication standards, and influence rather than direct authority.
- Partner with senior IT and business leaders to define initiative goals, business value, and success metrics then track and report progress toward those outcomes, flagging gaps early.
- Proactively identify risks, budget concerns, and cross-team dependencies, and influence course corrections before they become issues.
- Drive business readiness and adoption — coordinating training, cutover, and stabilization activities — while partnering with Architecture/Engineering to shape the division's technology roadmap.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Work Experience: 5–7 years of project, program, or initiative management (required); 3+ years leading cross-functional or Agile/SDLC-governed initiatives (preferred).
- Expert-level initiative and program management, risk and dependency management, and working-session facilitation skills.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence without authority across senior IT and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Agile/SDLC governance, stakeholder management, and business value tracking; PMP, SAFe, Scrum, Agile, Lean, or equivalent delivery/governance credential preferred.
