Motion Designer II

As a Motion Designer at Bio-Rad, your day will be a balance of hands-on design and animation work and strategic collaboration. You’ll start by reviewing creative briefs and aligning with team members on upcoming projects. Mid-morning might involve concepting, designing and animating compelling 2D and 3D motion graphics that bring breakthrough science to life. You’ll spend part of your afternoon refining your animation, collaborating with 3D Artists and Editors, ensuring brand consistency, and providing feedback to creative partners. The day could end with a stakeholder presentation or brainstorming session to refine messaging and visual storytelling for an upcoming product launch or campaign.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Develop Creative Assets – Execute high-quality visuals across digital, video, and event marketing. 
• Maintain Brand Integrity – Ensure all creative work aligns with Bio-Rad’s brand guidelines and regulatory standards. 
• Support Campaign Execution – Work with Marketing and Product teams to create compelling visual narratives that engage target audiences. 
• Collaborate with Teams – Partner with designers, copywriters, video producers, motion designers and stakeholders to bring concepts to life. 
• Present & Communicate Design Concepts – Effectively articulate creative decisions and rationale to peers and leadership.

What You Bring:

• Experience – 6+ years in an agency or in-house creative role, with a focus on marketing campaigns. 
• Technical Skills – Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, and at least one 3D platform (Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or Houdini). An understanding of video production and post-production workflows.
• Creative Problem-Solving – Ability to translate complex scientific ideas into visually engaging and accessible marketing materials. 
• Strong Attention to Detail – Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and high-quality execution in all creative deliverables. 
• Collaboration & Communication – Strong ability to work in a team environment and clearly present creative concepts to stakeholders.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $105,900 to $129,400 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
