Production Chemist III

As a Production Chemist III for our Portland, Maine Bio-Rad team, you are responsible for bulk formulating products of high complexity including custom recipes in accordance with approved written procedures and policies.  You will participate in the training and development of new products, and participate in/lead continuous improvement projects. You will perform/lead Root Cause Amicor Quality Notification and implement Corrective Actions.

How You'll Make An Impact: 

• Assist with generating new procedures and work closely with Research & Development and product transfer teams.
• Participate in the planning, scheduling and organizing product teams to meet production deadlines.
• Support assigned products and serve as a primary technical resource for various departments/groups.
• Assist in the building of product recipes and Bill of Materials.
• Train other employees.

What You Bring: 

• 8+ years working in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, life sciences, or an equivalent.
• Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lead Chemist experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams or projects.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $68,100 to $93,600 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
