Referral Award amounts are based on the position. In general, the awards will be:

  • $500 for Temp/Casual positions
  • $1,000 for Non-exempt and Hourly positions
  • $1,500 for Exempt positions

We also hold monthly drawings for every employee who places a referral! Four employees are awarded 1,000 Bravo! Points to use in our Bravo! Recognition and Rewards platform.

 

Referring a friend is simple.

  1. From your computer, navigate to the Jobs & Referrals app from the Single Sign-On (SSO) Portal
  2. Find the appropriate position, and click on "Make a Referral"

Enter your friend's info.

  1. You will be asked to enter your friend’s contact information (name and email) and your friend will receive an email with the job link!
  2. When your friend applies using that job link, you will be tagged in the system as the referring employee.

Who's eligible to receive referral awards?

All current US-based employees of Bio-Rad Laboratories are eligible to receive a cash award for referring an external applicant that is hired by the Company with the few exceptions noted below. Please contact bio-rad-global-hr@bio-rad.com via email with any questions.

Not Eligible

You are ineligible to receive an award if:

  • You are in senior management in salary grades 12E and above
  • Work in the HR Department
  • You are an employee or manager who has input into the hiring decision (i.e., part of the interview team)

Not Eligible

You will not receive a bonus for recommending:

  • Current or former employees that have been employed by Bio-Rad or a Bio-Rad affiliate within the past five (5) years
  • Individuals who are currently working at Bio-Rad as a temporary, intern, contractor or consultant
  • A person who came to Bio-Rad's attention through another source like an advertisement or temporary agency
  • Candidates hired after six months from date of the initial referral
