Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst will perform pre and post-sales analysis and credit risk evaluations on Bio-Rad’s customers. They will actively work the Credit Hold report in SAP and initiate credit limit increase requests in Salesforce.com to ensure orders are released in a timely fashion.  Will work closely with the Collections team to make sure past due balances are resolved prior to credit limit increase approvals. 

How You'll Make an Impact:  

• Credit Department has the responsibility and authority to establish, revise and implement the Corporate Credit Policy and maintain credit limits and other credit parameters. Outcomes of this process include a newly created or updated Credit Master Profile, which will include key attributes such as: (a) credit limits, (b) last and next review dates, (c) risk category classification. 
• Customer credit limits are established and updated when needed in accordance with the Credit Policy including relevant authorization matrix. 
• Existing customers’ credit limits are reviewed for ongoing adequacy on a periodic basis and credit limits assessed for adequacy. 
• The Credit Analyst recommends credit limits via the SFDC workflow.  Once the workflow is approved by the required approvers in SFDC, the new credit limit is automatically updated in SAP by the SFDC interface. 
• The Credit Analyst works the Credit Hold Report in SAP to facilitate the timely release of orders. 

What You’ll Bring:  

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills that works hard and maintains a positive attitude. Focus on quality and attention to detail is a must. In addition, the ability to think strategically, develop effective business partner relationships and seek opportunities for continuous improvement is highly preferred. Desired qualifications include: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• Language: fluent in English
• Ideally 3+ years of public accounting, corporate finance or credit experience, or equivalent combination of related business experience or education. 
• Strong understanding of commercial credit and the ability to perform credit investigations and evaluations. 
• System experience with SAP, SalesForce and D&B reporting.   
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365 desktop applications. 
• Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to provide sound financial and business judgment and strategic thinking.   
• Keen understanding of customer needs and ability to think creatively in designing and managing solutions that also meet the company’s business goals. 
• Communication skills are essential, with the ability to connect effectively across all levels of internal and external audiences (both verbally and in writing). 
• Team player with ‘can do’ attitude, curiosity to learn and tackle new tasks, and possess strong drive and initiative with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
