Celebrating Father's Day

June 21, 2026

In honor of Father's Day this year, we recently asked Bio-Rad employees around the world to share their favorite memories or thoughts either as a dad or with a fatherly figure in their life. From lessons learned to moments of laughter and love, these stories highlight the many ways fathers and father figures have shaped our lives. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this collection so meaningful.

Being a father is very much like being a manager. The challenges of watching the people around you go through hard times, putting others before yourself, picking each other up when you fail, and finally celebrating the team’s and family’s victories! Without family, I wouldn’t be the manager that I am.

A favorite memory is our dad-daughter dance at my wedding celebrations

Even if my father lives in another state, I really enjoy when we spend time together and thank him because he is always supporting me.

They say your life changes the day you become a father and they were right. Every sleepless night is entirely worth it for these quiet moments.

This photo was taken on Dec '24, during a break in my dad's chemo treatments. Pictured is my dad with his grandkids, all of us wearing matching holiday sweaters - good times. This will be our first Father's day without my dad after passing away after his battle with Pancreatic Cancer in Oct '25. Wishing all the Dads out there a Happy Father's Day.

My dad has always spoken through small, tender gestures. When I was little, on every special day, he would come to my school and bring me a tiny Lindt umbrella—his quiet way of saying how deeply I am loved. And I’ve always known it.

My father passed away last year at the age of 80. I am grateful for the legacy he left me with: love of nature, taking care and playing with my kids, following the good things he did and learning from his missteps in life. I am the man I am today in great part because of him. Thank you dad!

Soccer was more than a sport with my dad, it was our bond, our joy, our secret language. Now, with the World Cup, his memory feels stronger, and I wish he could see me sharing with my son what he once shared with me.

It's a recent memory, but as 22-year employee, it was extremely gratifying bringing my son to the office for the day.  I felt like a kid myself when I started at Bio-Rad, and I've lived in this local community my entire life.  It was definitely a full-circle type of moment.

This is my dad. He used to be very fierce when he was young, but as he grew older, he became much more cheerful and smiles a lot.

My son and I signed up for the Sole of the City 10K race in Baltimore; it was a great way to spend some time together.

The greatest responsibility I have ever taken in life was becoming a father. I realize now how my father held me during my childhood and want to make a great salute to my father, and thank you for the moment to remember fathers everywhere.

When I was little, my father was everything to me—both a mom and a dad. Thanks to him, I was always surrounded by love and support. He is one of the kindest people I know, and I’m grateful for him every day. I am proud to celebrate him this Father’s Day.

My father... a great man, with effort, love, and admirable strength, has given us the best example: resilient, hardworking, and always looking ahead. His creativity, humanity, and dedication marked our lives forever. More than words, he left us the greatest legacy.
