Manufacturing Engineer I

The Manufacturing Engineer provides engineering support for manufacturing equipment used in diagnostic reagent bulking, filling, labeling and packaging. These manufacturing processes range from high precision microwell plate coating to small vial filling, labeling and packaging events on semi-automated machines with batch sizes in the thousands.

Manufacturing Engineers work in a team environment (Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Marketing, Research and Development, Transfer) to investigate technical issues, implement process improvements and complete validations. They will interact with external representatives on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations/divisions. They will exercise independent judgement in developing methods, validation techniques and evaluation criteria.

How You'll Make An Impact: 

• Troubleshoots and investigates equipment issues.
• Provides technical support for capital equipment projects, automation initiatives, OEE, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Designs and executes equipment qualifications.
• Creates and updates equipment Standard Operating Procedures.

What You Bring:  

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Scientific field.
• Work Experience: up to 2 years’ experience in related industry required.
• Industry experience supporting manufacturing equipment in a cGMP/FDA/ISO regulated industry.
• Capital projects from justification to sustaining preferred.
• OEE/Uptime measuring, LEAN 6 Sigma, and improvement initiatives preferred.
• IOPQ, automated filling, sealing, packaging and label printing preferred.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,100 to $111,100 annually, at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of the offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon the achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
