Product Support Engineer II

The Product Support Engineer II handles moderately complex technical issues, mentors junior engineers, analyzes recurring problems for improvements, and supports sustaining engineering projects. This role requires experience and proficiency in hardware and electronics troubleshooting, diagnostic tools, and ability to communicate and train service members. Operates with minimal supervision on problems of moderate scope.

  • Resolve intermediate technical issues, including software bugs and configurations. 
  • Mentor entry-level engineers on troubleshooting techniques. 
  • Analyze recurring customer issues and propose enhancements. 
  • Support sustaining engineering projects, such as product updates. 
  • Conduct customer training sessions or webinars on product features. 
  • Collaborate with QA teams to verify bug fixes. 
  • Perform product stability studies and competitor comparisons. 
  • Generate technical bulletins and assist in manual development.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

  • Monitor Product installation, performance and failure information. Identify Product Support improvement opportunities. Recommends remedial actions where appropriate. 
  • Support projects instrument reliability, end of life and quality improvements. 
  • Support New Product development projects and the commercialization of new products. 
  • Identify product quality improvements, coordinating corrective and preventive action, and continuous improvement with appropriate business leadership, manufacturing, and R&D groups.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering, Chemistry, Medical Technology Engineering, Computer Science, or another appropriate scientific discipline. 
  • Work Experience: 2–4 years of experience in technical support, product engineering, or a related field. 
  • Requires proficiency in resolving moderately complex situations requiring in-depth evaluations, troubleshooting hardware/software/firmware/assays, and experience in new product development in FDA or similar regulated environments.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $91,500 to $137,300 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
