As a Regional Supplier Quality Manager, the candidate plays a key leadership role overseeing supplier quality and compliance activities across the region. Their day involves collaborating with a team of Supplier Quality Engineers to drive performance at critical suppliers, ensuring raw materials and semi-finished goods meet quality and regulatory standards. They act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders on supplier-related quality issues, lead supplier qualification and onboarding efforts, and manage risk through programs like the Supplier Risk Assessment Program (SRAP). Continuous improvement is central to the role, with activities including reviewing defect trends, overseeing audits, and executing mitigation plans to reduce supply chain risk. The role also demands cross-functional engagement, clear communication, and strategic thinking to support manufacturing and operational goals.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

  • Drive Supplier Performance and Compliance:
    • By leading audits, managing supplier qualifications, and ensuring ongoing adherence to regulations, the candidate ensures a reliable and compliant supply base that meets quality expectations.

    • Through proactive execution of the Supplier Risk Assessment Program (SRAP), the candidate identifies and addresses potential risks in the supply chain, safeguarding business continuity and product availability.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Act as a Strategic Partner to Internal Stakeholders:

  • Develop and Coach a Regional SQE Team:
    • Managing and mentoring a geographically dispersed team of Supplier Quality Engineers, the candidate ensures consistent execution of quality programs while fostering professional development and engagement.

What You Bring:

  • Strong Educational Foundation:
    • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management, with a preference for an advanced degree (MS), equips the candidate with technical and strategic knowledge.
  • Extensive Experience in Quality and Supply Chain:
    • Over 8 years of experience in supply/value chain management, quality, compliance, and regulatory environments—ideally within medical devices, life sciences, or biotech—enables the candidate to navigate complex, regulated supply chains.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Demonstrated ability to lead a team or project, with 0–3 years of people management experience and a proven record of executing quality initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Regulatory and Quality Systems Expertise:
    • Working knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 standards, along with experience in supplier audits, onboarding, and compliance activities (e.g., RoHS, REACH), ensures effective governance across the supply base.
