A Snapshot of Your Day
The account manager main function is to manage the life science portfolio, including reagents and instruments from Molecular Biology, Proteomics and Cell Biology product lines to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan acting as principal Bio-Rad contact for each assigned accounts in a high-functioning team and reporting to the Field Sales Manager.
Job responsabilities
The position encompasses prospection of new customers, qualification of prospects, analyses needs and proposal elaboration, sales negotiation, sales maintenance, contract management (renewal and extensions), activities with existing and new customers to develop trust and business volume, developing customer satisfaction and Bio-Rad’s brand image. As well as:
Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers to meet the territory sales goals
Develop and execute a territory business plan managing the territory in a structured, organized and compliant way
Identify and develop new business opportunities demonstrating a thorough understanding of selling skills, sales forecasting, and results monitoring
Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation’s management software (Sales Force CRM)
Collaborate with other functions (Customer Service, Field Application Scientists, Service, etc.) to meet customer requests/deadlines.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field
Areas of expertise: Molecular Biology, Proteomics, Cell Biology
Proven experience in account management / customer-facing role with strong selling and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong relationships skills
Ability to work well independently and in a team-based environment
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (MS Excel in particular)
Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing)
Location: candidate should be based in Lombardia area, preferably Milan
Environment/Working Conditions
Expected to travel frequently by self-managing the customer agenda
