IT Intern - CyberSecurity

As a Cyber Security Intern, you'll work on projects with our professional team, gaining hands-on experience in a growing industry. You'll collaborate with team members and internal partners to ensure security while meeting business needs. Your tasks will include monitoring and reporting security weaknesses, scripting and automating security tasks, and helping to create and edit policy documentation. This role will give you a solid understanding of cyber security practices and the chance to make a real impact. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamc and growing industry.

The Cybersecurity Intern Will:

• Be assigned project-focused opportunities as a Cyber Security Intern and work with our professional team
• Interface with team members and internal business partners of varied levels from across the organization to understand business requirements are met without compromising security
• Monitor, identify, report, security weaknesses
• Be responsible for scripting, coding, and task automation for security tasks
• Assist in creating/editing documentation of policies and operating procedures

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Assist in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and policies
• Participate in cloud security assessments
• Participate in incident response efforts

What You Bring:

• Education: Must have completed freshman, sophomore or junior year by June at an accredited college or university, with plans to return to school in the following term
• Have a grade point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale)
• Work Experience: none
• Good understanding of the fundamentals of cyber security
• Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• The ability to work independently within departmental policies and guidelines
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be willing to make a full-time commitment of 40 hours a week for 9 weeks from June 16 - August 15, 2025
• Lives within commutable distance (50 miles) to Hercules, CA in order to participate in Bio-Rad's internship networking and development opportunities

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
