Senior Art Director
- 2026-40089
- Hercules, California, United States
- Marketing and Communications
- Hybrid
You are hands-on and close to the craft. A typical day has you developing visual concepts and storyboards against a strategic brief, then designing and adapting assets for web, social, print, and events. You extend and help maintain the reusable template and component libraries that keep the whole team fast and on-brand, and you make sure every asset meets brand guidelines and regulatory requirements. You collaborate cross-functionally to refine and approve work, join creative reviews and turn feedback around efficiently, and offer design guidance to junior designers. You operate semi-independently, escalating timeline or resource risks to your ACD or Creative Director when needed.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Develop visual concepts and storyboards that bring strategic briefs to life across Bio-Rad's multi-touchpoint campaigns.
- Design and adapt modular assets for web, social, print, and event channels, owning execution for mid-to-large-scale initiatives.
- Build and extend reusable template and component libraries that scale production and protect brand consistency.
- Ensure every deliverable adheres to brand guidelines and to regulatory and scientific requirements.
- Advise junior designers on design best practices and integrate creative-review feedback quickly and cleanly.
What You Bring:
- Education: BA/BS in Design, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
- Work Experience: 10-12 years of art direction and design experience with demonstrated portfolio breadth.
- Strong layout, color, and composition skills, with genuine hands-on design and production ability.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, with motion-design understanding. AI Platform integration and knowledge a plus.
- A solid understanding of file preparation for both digital and print production at scale.
- A collaborative communication style and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
