Senior Manager, Quality Systems Product Marketing Growth & LCM
- 2026-39984
- Irvine, California, United States
- Marketing and Communications
- Hybrid
The Sr Manager, Quality Systems Product Marketing Growth & LCM, drives product-line growth and lifecycle management for a full product family or multiple related products/segments—from launch through on-market support to obsolescence. The role translates portfolio and segment strategy into product-line plans and commercial inputs (market assessment, segmentation, growth projections, marketing plans, positioning, pricing, and competitive response), partnering with Market Access, Scientific Affairs, Regional Marketing, Commercial, and Supply Chain, operating with limited oversight across multiple regions.
Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.
How You'll Make An Impact:
- Franchise Portfolio growth strategy & initiatives: Lead franchise and long-range planning, growth projections, and marketing growth plans across the product family. Set growth-plan direction that Regional Marketing and Commercial teams execute against.
- On-Market Lifecycle, sustaining prioritization & CAPA: Own phase-in/phase-out and obsolescence decisions across multiple product lines simultaneously to protect the customer experience and improve portfolio productivity and profitability, and define priorities for geographic expansion. Monitor product performance (quality signals, complaints, cost-to-serve, usage, and mix) to recommend sustaining prioritization (including assay obsolescence and migration), contribute to CAPA, and develop customer communications.
- Market research & opportunity assessment: Maintain voice-of-customer (VOC), TAM/SAM, payer and clinical trends, technology developments, evolving clinical practice/guidelines, and competitive intelligence. Synthesize these into market assessments, customer segmentation (including share/Mekko analyses), and competitor strategies that shape segment strategy, product-line roadmaps, growth opportunities (including IVD partnerships), and rationalization options, while flagging risks across assigned systems, assays, quality controls, and informatics.
- Positioning & evidence inputs: Partner with Scientific Affairs, Market Access, and Regional Marketing to shape value propositions and messaging grounded in clinical evidence and customer language, positioning the product within the segment strategy and competitive landscape and informing evidence plans.
- Performance reporting & franchise KPIs: Use dashboards to track revenue, mix, margins, adoption, and other indicators, and provide insights and corrective-action recommendations to key stakeholders.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing. Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MPH, MBA or similar) is desirable.
- 8+ years in diagnostics/biotech/med-devices, including sales and regional marketing experience. Held a sales role and experience within regional marketing. Proven record of LCM of a product portfolio in a matrix environment.
- Advanced knowledge of marketing methodologies, concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Abel to translate segment and franchise strategy into concrete product-line plans, commercial hypotheses, and measurable objectives for assigned products or segments.
- Able to collect and interpret voice-of-customer, competitive information, and usage data to inform requirements and positioning.
