The Software Product Owner Intern, will support delivery of a defined feature within a cloud informatics platform for Quality Control Data Management by contributing to requirements analysis, user story generation, and scrum execution using AI tools.  In partnership with the software informatics product owner team, the intern will work on a real product backlog, producing artifacts that are directly usable by the delivery team.

 

Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

How You'll Make An Impact: 

  • A Defined user or business problem or opportunity statements based on discovery and requirements elicitation.
  • Documented software requirements decomposition using AI tools and reviewed by the PO team.
  • Visual artifacts (ex. Workflows, wireframes) for the feature to augment the written requirements.
  • A set of ready for grooming users stories contating EARS formatted requirements, for a prioritized feature in our software roadmap.

What You Bring:

  • An undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Bio-Engineering, Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field. Eligible candidates must be rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students who intend to return to their academic program the following academic year.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools (ex. JIRA).
  • Experience or coursework in business or system analysis.
  • Experience with AI productivity tools.
  • Expereince or understanding of laboratory techniques and processes.

Compensation: The estimated hourly rate for this position is $25.00 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
