Field Service Engineer

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our Queensland/NZ team, based in Brisbane, Queensland.

Reporting to the Field Service Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for servicing all Life Sciences (LSG) and Clinical Diagnostics (CDG) instruments at our Australian customers sites and assisting across the broader Pacific region when required. An important component of this role is to assist in building customers’ confidence and network with Bio-Rad as well as providing front line technical and application support to internal / external stakeholders to ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved..

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Consistently provide preventive and maintenance services to customers
• Install, service and maintain all LSG and CDG instruments
• Ensure all work orders are handled in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer
• Use of ServiceMax for work order management
• Ensure tools and test equipment are kept in a professional manner.
• Perform other duties as required
• Meeting territory service goals and objectives
• Ensure that the Company achieves its customer satisfaction objective at all times
• Report promptly to the Technical Service Manager of any circumstances where this is not occurring
• Maintain good customer relationships

What You Bring: 

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering preferred (Electronic/Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical)
• Minimum or 3-5 years’ experience in Life Science, Clinical Diagnostics or Biomedical service Industry
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Excellent interpersonal communication and proven customer relationship building skills
• Demonstrated initiative, good organisation and planning skills
• Strong team orientation
• Problem solving ability and results driven
• High level of skills in computer literacy and software usage
• Current drivers licence valid in Australia.
