Production Technician I

The Production Technician I is responsible for the fulfillment of solution preparation process orders and small-volume dispense process orders. The individual will interface with SAP to ensure proper procedures and materials are being used for the process order. Solution preparation will be performed with pipettes, scales, mixers, pumps, pH meters and conductivity meters. Small volume dispensing will be performed with manual (e.g. pipette), semi-automatic (e.g. peristaltic pump) or automatic equipment (e.g. Fill/Cap/Torque machine). For manual and semi-automatic dispensing orders; capping, torquing and labeling will also be performed by the Production Technician I. In addition to process order fulfillment, the Production Technician I will also clean the laboratory and manage the inventory of laboratory supplies. Should any issues arise, the Production Technician I is expected to identify the issue, escalate appropriately, assist with troubleshooting and assist with issue resolution.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Completing training. There are over 500 different products made in bldg. 925. Production Technician I is expected to fulfill orders for all products. Being trained on a broad spectrum of procedures and equipment is a necessity for the Production Technician I to be fully independent. 
• Fulfilling process orders. The dispense group fulfills ~175 process orders in a month. 
• Learning SAP. SAP is the enterprise resource system (ERP) used to manage process orders. 
• Identifying improvements. Attention to detail is a key skill to ensure focus on quality. When opportunities for improvements are identified, the Production Technician I can make an impact by escalating and driving the improvement.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 0-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional technical training/coursework beyond high school preferred.
• Ability to operate simple lab/test equipment.
• Basic math, problem solving and computer skills. Transaction in SAP a plus.
• Utilize basic technical skills to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.
• Team player/ flexible/ attentive to detail and quality minded.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, with overtime and weekends as needed.

Compensation: The estimated base hourly range for this position is $20.62 to $28.36 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
