Bioinformatics Intern

You will be part of the Software Development and Analytics team supporting the development of the Next Generation Sequencing cloud applications. You will complete a deep dive into antibody data en route to developing an antibody ranking algorithm. You will be assigned a mentor and work within one of the functional disciplines in the Computational Biology organization. How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Apply data science methods and algorithms to profile antibodies and provide useful information to researchers. 
• Design, code, and test a new antibody algorithm for NGS cloud products. 
• Work with Bioinformatics sub-team to coordinate development of new features and resolve issues. 
• Present data from capstone project to a broad audience.

What You Bring:

• Education: Sophomore or junior university student in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Bioinformatics.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team. 
• Experience coding Python. 
• Experience working in a unix environment. 
• Experience with common bioinformatics tool

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
