Product Manager - Single-Cell Analysis

Bio-Rad's Life Sciences Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Product Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate has a background in bioinformatics and will be responsible for specifying software needs for a first-to-market technology system and its data analysis packages, and assisting in the development of the commercial web interface for assay design by customers. This candidate will have a demonstrated ability to execute on a vision for the development of new software products.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Define and specify software requirements for single cell screening experimentation design, system interface and data analysis packages. 
• Provide the marketing voice for development and enhancement of the commercial web interface for customer assay design. 
• Develop product vision that meets market needs using market-driven input obtained via voice of customer data, usability evaluations, and Alpha/Beta testing feedback. 
• Drive the development of software applications for this product line within cross-functional teams, maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the software development team. 
• Collaborate closely with hardware and assay product development teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality. 
• Ensure that the software solutions meet the highest standards of quality and usability. 
• Co-lead the creation of product collateral for sales and support, web, media, etc. 
• Collaborate globally with commercial teams to collect customer inputs, competitive intelligence, and market trends to build robust marketing plans and product roadmaps for the product portfolio.

What You Bring:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree highly desirable, particularly in Bioinformatics or Data Science. 
• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in software product management. 
• Strong understanding of Bioinformatics and its application in life sciences. 
• Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: flow cytometry and/or single cell genomics. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• Experience working through challenges that arise in product development and commercialization – timelines, technical risks, and market dynamics – with professionalism and a positive attitude 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with software development for life sciences systems. 
• Familiarity with data analysis packages and their application in biological research. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $133,900 to $184,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
