Manufacturing Engineer - Mechanical

The Manufacturing Engineer I, Mechanical is responsible for Product Transfer, Production Line Set-up, Definition of Procedures/WI and Documents, Manufacturing First Pass Yield, Failure Analysis, Preventive Maintenance / Calibration processes, Customer Return disposition, Engineering Change and Qualification, Continuous Process Improvement and DFX.

• Product Transfer – New or existing products
• Production Line Set-up, Line Balancing, Training
• Definition of Procedures, WI and Documents.
• Achieve Manufacturing First Pass Yield targets
• Perform Failure Analysis and implement corrective and/or preventive measures
• Ensure execution of Preventive Maintenance / Calibration
• Review Customer Return disposition
• Manage Engineering Changes, Process Validation and Qualification
• Implement Continuous Process Improvement projects
• Review product Design for Manufacture, Availability & Quality

What You Bring:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
• More than 2 years of experience in discrete manufacturing environment, preferably in Life Sciences or Medical Device industries, held accountable for manufacturing yield targets, line stoppage avoidance, etc., for a few product lines at the same time.
• More than 2 years of experience involving Mechanical Components (plastic, metal, optics) preferred.
• More than 2 years of experience in managing Engineering change requests/orders.
• More than 2 years of experience in Bill-Of-Material creation and maintenance.
• Experience in New Product Introduction and Product Transfer
• Knowledge in ISO 13485 requirements, MDSAP, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, 5S.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die-casting, machining, anodizing, passivation, plating.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings.
• Possesses excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Organization, planning and time management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
