Fixed Asset Accountant

This role is responsible for ensuring Fixed Asset transactions within the EMEA Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC) are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner in compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). The position supports the standardization and harmonization of Fixed Asset accounting processes across the EMEA region, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient month-end close activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

• You will maintain and update Fixed Asset ledger accounts for US GAAP and Statutory reporting
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and month-end close activities
• Manage Fixed Asset processes including asset tagging, disposals, physical counts, and roll forwards tied to the GL
• Ensure accounting documents are processed accurately within the correct accounting period
• Conduct balance sheet and income statement analyses, including actual vs. budget variance investigations
• Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including corporate reporting, QVRs, and impairment memos
• Assist with property tax filings, audit/questionnaire responses, and communication of financial discrepancies to management

What You Bring:  

• Languages: Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus
• Education: University BA degree, financial or economical degree is preferred
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting required.
• 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving background.
• Experience in process and project management skills.
• Experience in process redesign and/or efficiency
• Innovative and able to think both analytically and conceptually.
