The Production Planner II role is critical to ensuring accurate translation of demand into executable production plans. This role analyzes demand signals, backorders, and forecast changes alongside inventory positions and capacity constraints to develop feasible plans aligned with customer requirements. Leveraging SAP/MRP and other data sources, the planner assesses finished goods availability, identifies risks, and adjusts plans accordingly. The role partners closely with Production Scheduling to translate plans into realistic, prioritized, and executable schedules. Throughout the process, the planner proactively monitors constraints, develops contingency plans, and ensures production is completed on time to meet customer demand while minimizing disruptions and improving operational efficiency. Additionally, this role works closely with Production to ensure successful execution and serves as a key liaison to the business, communicating risks, changes, and potential delays.

Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

 

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Analyze demand, forecast changes, and backorders to develop production plans aligned with customer requirements.
  • Translate demand signals into actionable production plans and collaborate with Production Scheduling to ensure execution.
  • Monitor material availability, capacity constraints, and inventory levels to proactively identify and resolve risks.
  • Evaluate scheduling scenarios and recommend prioritization decisions to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.
  • Drive data accuracy and planning integrity through SAP (MRP, BOMs, routings) and support continuous improvement in planning processes.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, supply planning, or demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience analyzing demand, inventory, and capacity to develop actionable production plans.
  • Experience working closely with production scheduling and operations teams to ensure execution of plans.
  • Familiarity with managing backorders, prioritization, and service level performance.
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $86,600 - $119,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
