As an intern at Bio-Rad, you will be part of exciting and challenging AI and automation projects for the IT department, using various tools and technologies to create innovative solutions for the life sciences and healthcare industry. You will also collaborate with different teams and people, learn new skills and concepts, and make a difference to the company and the industry. You will also receive feedback, guidance, and recognition from your mentor, manager, and other IT staff, who will help you grow and succeed. You will also enjoy a fun and rewarding work experience, and progress as a professional and as a person.
How You’ll Make An Impact:
Subject Matter Expertise in AI within Power Platform:
- Deep understanding of Copilot Studio
- Building, tuning, and training Copilot agents.
- Deploying agents and integrating them into applications.
- Managing issues like hallucination, model training, and data integration.
- Expertise in AI Builder
- Integrating AI Builder for natural language processing (NLP) and document processing.
- Example: ingesting PDFs and extracting data into Dataverse for app use.
What You Bring:
- Rising Junior or Senior at a 4-year college/university with a 3.0 GPA or above in a relevant course of study (CompSci, Business Technology, Data Science, etc)
- A strong interest and aptitude for learning new technologies and solving complex problems, especially in the areas of AI and automation.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or SQL, and familiarity with web development frameworks and tools, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or React.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their services and features, such as Lambda, Azure Functions, or Cloud Functions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- A passion for innovation and a desire to contribute to the advancement of life science research and diagnostics.
- Basic knowledge of Bio-Rad and ability to commute to Hercules or Pleasanton office as needed.
Location: This position must be based in Hercules, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
