The Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical is responsible for supporting and drive activities to successfully ensure product transfer into manufacturing. The candidate performs a variety of professional engineering assignments associated with all areas of manufacturing or various phases of specialized engineering projects.  Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing processes or product design. Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness of Bio-Rad products.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Product Transfer – New or existing products from oversea.
  • Production Line Set Up, Line Balancing, Training
  • Achieve Manufacturing First Pass Test Yield targets
  • Manage Engineering Changes and Qualification
  • Implement Continuous Process Improvement projects
  • Perform Failure Analysis and implement corrective and/or preventive measures
  • Definition of Procedures, Working instructions and Documents
  • Preventive Maintenance / Calibration
  • Review customer return disposition
  • Manage Engineering Changes and Qualification
  • Implement Continuous Process Improvement Projects
  • Review Product Design for Manufacture, Availability and Quality

What You Bring:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in discrete manufacturing environment, preferably in Life Sciences or Medical Device industries, held accountable for manufacturing yield targets, line stoppage avoidance, etc., for a few product lines at the same time.
  • More than 5 years of experience involving Electrical and Electronic Components preferred.
  • More than 5 years of experience in managing Engineering change requests/orders.
  • More than 5 years of experience in Bill-Of-Material creation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge in ISO 13485 requirements, MDSAP, risk management, pFEMA, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, 5S.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such PCBA, Wire-Harness, Cables, Connectors, power supplies etc.
  • Good understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Organization, planning and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • New Product Introduction and Product Transfer Experience.
