Bio-Rad is seeking a Project Manager with a demonstrated track record in the life sciences industry to play a critical role in advancing our mission of innovation and continuous improvement. This position is key to the successful development and commercialization of specialized life science products, ensuring projects are executed with excellence in alignment with corporate strategy and regulatory expectations. 

As part of the Life Science Group Program Management Office (PMO), you will lead cross-functional project teams through the full product life cycle, from concept through commercialization, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your focus will be on delivering projects on time, within scope and on budget, while fostering effective collaboration across global functions such as R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, Finance and Quality.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams through the planning and execution of moderate to complex, new product development (NPD) projects, ensuring alignment with Bio-Rad’s product development processes, quality systems, and business objectives. 
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage detailed project plans, resource allocations, budgets, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to phase-gate processes. 
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues that may impact project outcomes. Apply structured problem-solving techniques to overcome technical or operational challenges. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive team alignment and stakeholder engagement across diverse functions and geographies. Facilitate effective communication between technical and business teams to ensure successful project execution. 
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report project progress against KPIs, including budget, scope, and timeline. Provide regular updates to senior leadership and escalate critical issues as needed.

What You Bring:

  • Education: B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a science discipline. 
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the life sciences, biotechnology or medical device industry. Experience in a regulated industry preferred (e.g. FDA, ISO13485, GMP environments). 
  • Leadership and Execution: Able to lead cross-functional teamds to deliver moderate to complex projects from concept through commercialization. Strong sense of ownership, accountability and urgency. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Able to think strategically and tactically, balancing business objectives with science and regulatory objectives to ensure successful outcomes. 
  • Communication and Influence: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present moderate to complex information clearly to diverse audiences including executives, scientists and cross-functional partners, analytical/problem solving skills, negotiation skills, cross-functional team leadership skills and goal setting skills. 
  • Tools and Technical Skills: Proficient in project management methodologies and tools including MS Office, Smartsheet, requirements management, resource allocation, work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, critical path analysis, project risk management. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% to support global project collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $117,900 to $162,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
