Attorney II (Intellectual Property Counsel)

As Intellectual Property Counsel, you will report to the VP, Assistant General Counsel and have the opportunity to work on a broad range of intellectual property matters, providing IP advice and support to Bio-Rad’s global Life Sciences Group.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Developing and protecting intellectual property rights. 
• Managing patent prosecution. 
• Drafting and negotiating IP contracts. 
• Conducting freedom-to-operate studies. 
• Providing IP litigation support. 
• Handling day-to-day patent/trademark- related requests from the business. 
• IP training for the business.

What You Bring:

• Education: A JD from an accredited Law School/Patent Bar admission. Degree in a Life Science field is preferred. 
• Work Experience: 5-7 years of Intellectual Property Law experience, including law firm and/or in-house experience in a life science or clinical diagnostics company. 
• Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Ability to take ownership of projects and work well with clients and colleagues.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $153,100 to $210,600 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
