Biochemistry - Intern

Work with MSAT, area MFG Manager, area MFG Supervisor and area Production team members to create cell banks in the lab, follow & update SOPs, track & log work in spreadsheet, work with Documentation team to update SAP to create cell bank P/N and update inventory for newly created lots of master and working cell banks.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Address critical cell bank repository gaps, tracking progress to ensure the business is sustainable
• Create an inventory in SAP (MFG inventory system) to ensure critical cell lines are sustained
• Train on how to follow SOPs to be hands-on in creating cell banks in a microbiology production area
• Continuoius improvement: Provide insights on the MFG & tracking process, what works & doesn’t work, how could the process be improved for future operators

What You Bring:

• Education: Some college in the areas of Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Biotech (fermentation) at an accredited college or university, with plans to return to school in the following term
• Work Experience: Not expected, but collegiate labs in the areas noted above in education are required.
• Ability to work as part of a team, take instruction and learn, not too dissimilar from participation on sports teams
• Execllent communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to use the Microsoft suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
• Have a grade point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale)
• Be willing to make a full-time commitment of 40 hours a week for 9 weeks from June 16 - August 15, 2025
• Lives within commutable distance (50 miles) to Hercules, CA in order to participate in Bio-Rad's internship networking and development opportunities

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
