Field Application Spec

The Field Application Specialist will cover focus product lines, ie dPCR product lines (DBG) and Food science (FSD), with 80% on digital PCR technology and 20% Food science. Note that percentage of scope will change according to business requirements.

 

1. Effectively work with commercial and Field Marketing to achieve SEA DBG and FSD sales success by providing technical expertise, feasibility planning, application solutions and justifications to customer needs.

3. Develop workflow, experimental design and application solution at customer site to meet business objectives with focus on market segment such as molecular diagnostic labs (LDT), Biopharma, immunology, cell therapy, service labs and Food related applied markets
4. 4.  Work with marketing, FAS and sales team to coordinate scientific events, workshops and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to drive technical data and scientific publications

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

 

Provide pre- and post-sales technical application support

 

• Work closely with regional FASs, sales and marketing teams to drive success in seeding and growing of the DBG and FSD Portfolio through presentations, workshops and /or technical discussion to accelerate revenue
• Serve as the technical resource and understand feasibility management to support complex sales
• Responsible for experimental design requirements of customers with focus on market segment such as molecular diagnosis (LDT), Biopharma, immunology, cell therapy, service labs and Food-related applied markets
• Oversee customer evaluations to promote performance acceptance and overcome any technical objections.
• Provide post-sales technical application support to achieve customer satisfaction and
• Conduct pre-sales product demonstrations and presentations customized to customer requirements.
• Conduct product application training, including preparing materials required, to customers and
• Create training / Demo module (training notes, equipment, consumables & checklist) to be used as reference for other FASs and Channel FASs.
• Work with manager and team to devise suitable yearly application training plan for internal and CP staff

 Managing support escalation and monitoring focus product trends.

 

• Report/Escalate issues to CTS and Division in timely fashion
• Ensure that all relevant documentation are in order and traceable
• Conduct necessary follow up actions and provide timely communication to Division

 

Support marketing workshops/ Exhibitions & Seminars

 

• Liaise with Product Manager on planning and implementation of scientific affairs, relevant workshops, conferences and seminars
• Engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to drive technical data and scientific publications
• Presentation on specific product applications and conducting technical workshop
• Prepare materials required for workshop/exhibitions &
• Manage relationships with key

Administration

 

• Maintain ServiceMax report handling and WO creations to log your work.
• Update open/close/pending cases weekly with AMs and FASs and follow through with customers using appropriate media format.
• Maintain housekeeping of content creation, technical application training files, workshop details etc so they can be replicated or customised for other events as needed
• Ensure all instruments used for evaluation are properly accounted for, traceable and tracked.

 

What You Bring

 

Education

• Minimum MSc in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Applied Sciences, Biomedical Science
• PhD is a plus but not essential.

 

Experience

 

• Minimum 3+ years technical experience in life science laboratory with strong knowledge in experimental designs in dPCR, qPCR and other molecular methods.
• Experienced in optimizing and customizing experimental designs for efficiency and reproducibility or scaling.
• Knowledge and experience in validating and evaluating Food science testing methods and regulations or worked in microbiology lab settings is a plus.
• Experience in CGT, Immunotherapy, NGS, Molecular Diagnostics is a plus.
