Supply Assurance Buyer II

As our Bio-Rad Supply Assurance Buyer II, you will work on projects of moderate scope and complexitiy. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. General supervision, receives work instructions from supervisor includings quality and quantity expected and deadline. 

 

How You'll Make An Impact:

• Monitor inventory/stock levels to support production and inventory goals.
• Issue material purchase orders to support production. Identifies and resolves potential supply problems.
• Actively manage workflow in SAP system.
• Works with appropriate parties to resolve invoice issues to minimize overdue invoices and ensure supply availability.
• Evaluate stocking levels and adjust to meet the needs of the business.
• Ensure products/services get delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Work with scheduling team to process expedites as necessary to support production.
• Introduce and manage efficiencies through effective purchasing.
• Participate in supplier audits / Business Reviews.
• Monitor costs, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts.
• May assist with forecasting/Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Comply with commercial certification programs and applicable safety requirements.
• Maintain files and records related to purchasing activities.
• Process RTV’s (return to vendor) for damage goods, incorrect items sent, goods not meeting Bio-Rad specifications.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, logistics, Business Administration or related discipline.
• 1-3 years’ experience in purchasing, sales, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience expediting and issuing purchase orders a plus.
• Coursework towards CPM and/or CPIM certification is preferred.
• Full knowledge and application of the principles and theories of purchasing/materials.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $73,400 - $101,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
