Bioinformatics, Sr. Scientist

As a Bioinformatics Sr. Scientist in the clinical diagnostics group, your daily activities will focus on making data-driven decisions for our product line. Your primary responsibilities are related to statistical analysis of biological assays from a collection of technologies on the market and in early development. You will help us translate our instrument datasets into meaningful and actionable results, organize and present findings to the team, and maintain analysis software pipelines following best practices.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

• Analyze biological datasets to help answer experimental objectives. 
• Utilize statistical analysis methods for complex problems. 
• Develop analysis modules for a variety of different instruments/technologies. 
• Participate in team & project meetings and present results/findings. 
• Deploy analysis methods on instruments and on cloud compute resources.

What You Bring: 

• Education: M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or related field. 
• Work Experience: 2+ years of relative industry experience. 
• Strong Python programming experience preferred (desire both Python and R experience). 
• Experience developing and deploying python/R analysis modules for biological data. 
• Solid Statistics background, a troubleshooting mindset, and good communication skills.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $114,700 to $157,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
