Lead Product Designer

As a Lead Product Designer (UX Designer), you will play a critical role in developing user-centered solutions to improve user experience for the Unity applications. Your day will be a balance of design thinking and strategy, user research and collaboration, ensuring our products align with user needs and business goals.

How You'll Make An Impact:

• Advocate & Influence Strategic Design: Partner with leadership to champion for user-centered design solutions, demonstrating their strategic value in enhancing user experience and driving business success.
• Apply Design Thinking: Lead user-centered problem-solving by empathizing with lab professionals, defining key pain points, developing personas, ideating innovative solutions, prototyping intuitive workflows, and testing designs for usability and effectiveness.
• Create User-Centered Designs: Translate user needs (jobs-to-be-done) into interactive prototypes, high-fidelity visual mockups, user flows, customer journeys, and annotated wireframes that enhance efficiency, usability, and engagement.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, product owners, and software engineers to align designs with technical feasibility and business objectives.
• Develop & Maintain Scalable Design System: Ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability by creating a robust design system. Collaborate with developers to build reusable components for seamless implementation while championing the user experience.

What You Bring:

• BA/BS or MA/MS in Human Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or related disciplines.
• 10+ years of experience in defining, developiingand implementing user interface concepts.
• Strong portfolio of UX design work, demonstrating creativity, strategic thinking, and a user-centered approach.
• Expert knowledge and experience in Figma, Sketch, InVision, or similar.
• Expert knowledge on creating Figma components, design systems, libraries and patterns.
• Advanced knowledge and experience conducting UX research or working closely with UX researchers.
• Expert knowledge and experience UX design with Cloud-based Software applications, Mobile, and Web.
• Expert visual design skills and conceptual fluency in development applications.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Expert knowledge and experience designing UI wireframes & clickable prototypes.
• Advanced knowledge in HTML, CSS, XML and Javascript.
• Experience working with the Agile framework.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and advocate for users and UX and UI designs with engineering and software implementation team members.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to work with external creative service providers is a plus.
• Prior experience mentoring junior UX designers is a plus.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $133,900 - $184,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
