Production Supervisor II

As the Production Supervisor II you will provide leadership to include directing and supervising lab activities and shipping & receiving. Our Production Supervisor plans, coordinates, and oversees all manufacturing functions including scheduling, managing multiple products, and meeting completion deadlines. You will update laboratory personnel with information from other departments. Responsibilities include writing and approval of documents at all levels, trouble shooting, reviewing the work of Manufacturing and Research and Development personnel. You will work hands on in the manufacturing lab to produce product when demand requires.

• Mentor and coach your team to reach business goals and work at their full potential.
• Work with Research and Development to oversee the technical development and production of new products.
• Review all new documentation to confirm it is suitable for large scale manufacturing.
• Serve as Operations Team Member interacting with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs.

What You Bring: 

• Bachelors degree in a related field: Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology.  5 years in full time experience in a technically related position and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Willingness to improve and promote quality, prioritize and plan work activities, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, adapt to change in the work environment, display orientation to profitability.
• Ability to self-motivate, organize, execute, present and interpret scientific experiments in a timely manner.
• Ability to quickly learn and perform protein purification, bacterial fermentation, large scale cell culture production and various molecular biology techniques. Ability to perform large scale process development/improvement projects as well as R&D feasibilities with minimal supervision.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $66,200 to $91,100 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
